Do you deliver every image you shoot?

No, we do not. We shoot a lot of images at every shoot, and as much as we like to think we're awesome, about 70% of the time, we're not. It's not you, it's us. Let me explain... we eliminate duplicate images, test shots, shots where the leaves are in focus but you're not, shots where your hair blew into your lip gloss, you tripped on your heels, he fell while he was trying to carry you all romantic-like, etc. (we'll probably keep the falling photo, that's good stuff). I mean, you get the picture, right? Photography pun. 

How do I reserve you as my photographer? 

Please contact us and let us know! Upon receiving a signed contract and payment through our online client portal (it's super easy), it's all done. The whole process literally takes just seconds. You can review the booking proposal, read and sign the contract, and pay for your session or event all in the same place. The best part is, it's in your own individual client portal and records of everything, as well as any shoot dates, session galleries, locations, and other information, is all stored in this same client portal. 

Do you do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?

Absolutely! While we are based out of Dallas, we will gladly travel to any destination you'd like. Each destination wedding collection is customized for each couple and location to include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.  Outside of travel and accommodations, no additional fees are included for destination weddings. 

How many images do we get in our wedding album? 

A standard 10x10 album gets 20 pages, or 10 spreads. In those 20 pages will be up to 50 of your favorite images from your day. We don't select the images for you, but we can certainly make recommendations. 

How long does it take to get my album? 

Typically, album turn-around time is 6-8 weeks from the date the photos for the album are selected. Once the photos are selected, we'll put together an initial design of your album and send it to you for review. You'll get one revision to the album to swap out photos, change the order of the spreads, to make sure it's to your liking. Can I add more pages and images to my album? 

Each additional page can be added for additional cost and includes the design time/revisions. 

Have you shot at my venue before?

We have shot at tons of venues all over the Dallas and Fort-Worth areas and beyond, so there's a good chance we have. However, if we haven't, don't fret. There's a first time for everything, right? We'll do our homework, show up early, and scout out the venue well before your big day to ensure we deliver the absolute best photos we're capable of.  

Do I get just one photographer? 

Nope! We're both gonna be there for all the fun and excitement. Two photographers for the price of... well, we're a team, so... But seriously, you'll get multiple angles of all the best moments. Not to mention, photographers do a lot of running around, and two of us means we can be in more places at the same time. 

How will my images be delivered? 

We deliver each session's images via online gallery and digital download. With that being said, please, please, please make a backup of your images. 

But what if I can't access my gallery? 

If you can't access your gallery, and the reset password link isn't working, please contact us at hello@wethejames.com and we'll get it fixed. 

Do you backup your images? 

All of our images are backed up on four redundant hard drives, as well as a cloud backup. We don't risk losing your images. 

Do you provide the RAW files from my session or wedding day?  

Each of our sessions and wedding collections come with an online gallery where you'll be able to download the full resolution images. However, we typically do not provide RAW (unprocessed) files from our shoots because we believe in delivering a finished product. We may, on special occasion, provide RAW images along with your full resolution edited images for an additional fee and restrictions.

What kind of camera or gear do you shoot with?  

We shoot with nothing but Canon professional cameras and lenses. We have invested a lot of money into ensuring we're shooting with the right gear for the job. On occasion, we'll break out a Fujifilm INSTAX Wide 300 and shoot some fun, instant film. Or we may pull out a Canon eos 3 and shoot some 35mm film. We'll be sure to send you what fun goodies we manage to capture as well, completely free to you!
